MEDIBRIDGE

This application allows you and your healthcare facility to provide a single page 2D Barcode Request form to be sent with each sample being sent to a referral laboratory. This supports all disciplines such as Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunology and Microbiology.

It allows the receiver of the samples to simply scan the barcode to reveal the patient demographics, test requests and profiles into their system with no manual data entry requirements. 2D barcode requesting is compatible with all of our laboratory communication solutions.

MediBridge provides a safe and secure electronic transport service for all types of Health Care Information. All laboratory data transmissions are delivered through the securely encrypted MediBRIDGE electronic interchange service. Information is encrypted using a PKI infrastructure. Request and result files are downloaded from the MediBRIDGE server to the client’s workstation where they are decrypted and available for viewing or printing by authorised users.

MediBridge has been operational in Ireland since mid September 1999 and the roll out of the MediBridge service in Ireland to other Health Care Institutions has been ongoing to over 35 entities Nationwide.
